My rooted droid with cyanogen 7.1 with kernel version 2.6.32.9 JDLFG-LITHMOD gjdfg@ubuntu #48, has been running perfectly since I installed Cyanogen on it. In the past week or so it has not allowed me to change it to mass storage mode. I have tried fixing permissions in ROM Manager and usb debugging is running when I plug it in. I installed this kernel about 2 weeks ago. I would really like to have usb mass storage mode working again if possible. Thanks.
Jesse

If it was working fine (on the new kernel you flashed) and just recently started doing this, then something has changed either on the phone or the computer.
1) Try a different kernel if the problems started when you flashed the one you're on now.
2) Test it with a different computer
3) See if there are any programs you recently installed on the computer (winamp, etc) that may be affecting mounting (If you're getting the usb mount option on the phone itself but it won't actually mount to the computer).
4) possibly a driver problem on the computer which would need you to uninstall/troubleshoot the current one
5) Did you install any app that might be disabling mass storage mounting or locking your sdcard (haven't really heard of this but seems possible in app2sd management scenarios)
Basically, try to figure out what has changed in the time it went from working to not. It could be a few things as I've shown but mass storage should be working fine in stock CM7.1

Ok, thanks for replying to my request. I will try to figure this out. If nothing else works I can backup my apps and reflash it again. Thanks.
