Recently, I find an alpha version for our devices. How do you think, it is better to stay on gingerbread, or new features of ice cream sandwich are worth for waiting? Are new features of ICS significant enough to switch to it? I used it for a little, but can't get, what are the new features, which are missing, or not configurable.

And now its alpha #2

I prefer staying on CM7 until we have a stable version.

Glad i came here to check if cm9 would be a good idea

Slightly off topic, anyone know of an AOSP based work going on for P500? I knlw of Phoenix over at xda but anything else. Id like a stock experience esp launcher part. Ofcourse if I can get stock launcher on cM i would be happier!

It is buildable by yourself, check the guides @XDA.

You mean stock Gingerbread launcher or stock LG launcher ?

He meant, what he wants a clean, AOSP-based ROM because of the launcher, but if it's present for CM, it'll be 'nuff. Am I right?

Pure AOSP = Oxygen ROM port by popdog

Very right! Although tbe menu structure is intact with a performance option that cm team adds right? So mainly launcher important!

I decided to try lupohirp ics and i am glad i did! Ok link2sd issues but i like otherwise! Its got apex launcher it says. Any idea how to get stock launcher on cm9 going?
