I everyone.
Just installed Cyanogenmod on my wife's Captivate from the stock version. One of the main thing she misses from Touchwiz is the ability to see (and go directly to) missed calls and text messages from the lock screen.
Is there anyway to set this up in stock Cyanogenmod without a separate app? If not does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!

Anyone?? How about a good lockscreen replacement with this feature?

I actually miss that, too. I liked being able to access my text messages right from the lockscreen. You can place an app on the lockscreen, but you can't set it up like it originally is, unfortunately.

I was missing the same thing when I installed CM7 on my Captivate. I loved being able to move that puzzle piece and go straight to my missed calls or text messages. The only workaround that I have found is to install a third party app and then add it to the lockscreen. I personally downloaded GO SMS Pro (Free) from the market and installed. FYI, I am using the ring lockscreen style.
Do the following to add this to your lock screen:
Menu Button > Settings > CyanogenMod settings > Lockscreen > Style options > Tap Custom app starter to enable > Scroll down and select Custom application > Applications > Select GO SMS Pro.
Now you can lock/unlock your screen and in the middle is your application to go straight to you SMS text messages. I know this isn't really a fix or an extra mod you can install but it's the best workaround I have found.
I hope this helps.
