I've having this problem since the day I installed Cyanogen in my phone, at first I thought it was easy to solve if I'd google it, but so far I found NOTHING.

The thing is the phone remembers all old passwords for all the WIFI connections I've ever used. I never saved them, I guess my Google account just save them and restore them when I synched my account with the new system; the problem is it won't remember passwords for new connections, so if I go to a bar I enter the password it will work for the whole day, but I'll need to re enter the password tomorrow if I want to connect. Isn't this weird? I'm staring to think there's a limited number of passwords the phone can remember or something, but as it happened at the same time I changed from Gingerbread to Cyanogenmod I got suspicious about it...

Another thing is I tried to check the wap_supplicant.config file but i couldn't find it. It was supposed to be in data\misc but the File Manager shows nothing under data folder.

Any idea on any of the matters?

Thank you!

I guess, you did not root your device, right? Then this should be normal...

About the WiFi passwords: How many stored connections do you have? Maybe you can remove one of the old ones and create a new one. When this one stays in the list, your idea of limited number of entries would be correct. Or you could modify an already stored one and see if it stays in the modified state...

Hope this can help you somehow!

Thank you Elvizz, I tried deleting old, unused connections, but it didn't work, it still won't remember new connecting form more than a day (2 if I'm lucky).
I'm curious about what you said of my device being or not rooted. Is it even possible to install Cyanogen if the device is not rooted? I guess I did rooted it. Is there any way to know that for sure?

Thank you!
