While attempting to install CyanogenMod 9 ICS I am experiencing two issues with the installation. I've already flashed one HP Touchpad and was successfull at installing CyanogenMod 9. The other I'm having issues with.
First my computer fails to recognize the touchpad when I install the USB cable.
Second when attempting webOS recovery mode (ready to write the cmd command) getting the large USB icon when holding down the touchpad volume key, the computer removes the touchpad USB from the pc . Thus when I type in the command line and hit (enter) it fails because it " cannot find the device ".
Any assistance would be much appreciative. Thank you!

First of all, i assume that you know that after flashing CM, you will loose all your official supports. Let it be pc suites, software updates etc.

Secondly if you are trying to connect and give a command line, then first make sure that you have enabled usb debugging. Untill that is enabled none command will work.

Via LG Optimus-One reloaded with CM9 (ICS-4.0.3)

I'm having this same problem, debugging is enabled, I even took a usb mount app from the market that usually works on goofy ROMs and it won't work either.  I reflashed/wiped everything still no go.

Any advice?  This can't be right.

BTW my computer tries to install device driver software and it comes back failed:

MTP USB Device X Failed

edit: found a fix

"Mine works. Did you go in Settings -> Storage -> Advanced -> USB Computer Connection and enable MTP? With this done my Win7Pro detects it, loads the driver, and mounts it in My Computer."You have to look for the 3 small squares for advanced options.  Worked instantly.
