They're sketchy looking  and they had a magnifying glass icon and one of them was distorted. When you pressed them they would link you to two different sites both were search engines that I'd never heard of. One of them was  dailyappsearch.com, the other livemobilesearch.com
I don't know how they got there, and no uses my phone so...
I deleted them shortly after I took a screenshot.
The thing is they weren't any apps that showed up in my phone.
It's almost like they were url shortcut. I'm hoping they were only just that...

This looks Like Airpush(or someone like it), an advertising company that developers can choose to embed in their software.  Beware of when you're downloading apps if they ask for a lot of permissions.  Here are a few articles my friend gave me about AirPush:

http://www.airpush.com/developers
http://www.reddit.co...rs_who_deceive/
http://www.redmondpi...sh-ad-detector/

If it is AirPush, you have to uninstall any recently installed apps or updates to get rid of them otherwise the shortcuts may reaper.  Otherwise, restore to a nandroid from before those appeared.

Oh...wow. Okay. Now I have to backtrack and figure out what app it could've been.
Thanks!

Might try an antivirus/antimalware, try avast, it found a few PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) on my SD card

Lookout mobile security is also a good one.

True, but I prefer avast because I know them from years of using them on my computer, compared to lookout
