Hey, I'm all new to Cyanogenmod and flashing different ROMs, and I have many questions below as you see.....

1. Can I flash nightly builds after wiping data and cache? or are nightly builds only works as update zips?

2. Do I need to flash every single nightly builds in order to get the new features from all previous nightly builds? (for example would nightly build 63 have everything from build 1 to build 63?

3. Can I flash nightly builds on top of stable builds? and why are there newer nightly builds after stable builds? for newer features? For example defy has its stable build "update-cm-7.1.0-jordan-signed.zip " on 2011-10-10 but the newest nightly build is cm_jordan_full-63.zip  on 2011-11-16   which one is better overall?

4. Can I flash previous nightly builds? for example flashing build 35 from build 50

5. Where are the changelogs for all CM7 builds?

6. Is there going to be an ICS download section for defy? I know that http://defy-cm.net/ is the link to it, but how come it's not on the official page?

7. Where do I find google apps and official keyboards for defy and other different models? (For example if android market is missing or if I want a Moto or LG or HTC input Japanese keyboard (not a third party app).

THANK YOUUUU!!

I can help you with a couple of questions.

1+2. Yes you can flash nigthly builds from scratch, and you can start with flashing the newest, no need to go all the way from #1.

7. You can find and download android market in rom manager.  Or you can get gapps as a zip file and install from safe mode :)

hope you get the rest answeret too :)

thanks alot for the reply, I hope that there will be more answers coming soon though.

Also I can see that Silas, ur using optimus black p970 at the moment, which is also what my friend has. I helped her flashing to the newest ROM, which I think it was cm_p970_full-60.zip but the problem was its USB Mass Storage Connection thing doesn't work. it shows up on the screen but the PC doesnt recognize the usb connection at all. I've tried it on a few PCs with no luck, but my defy worked fine on all of them. any ideas?

I forgot to mention that my defy is on nightly build cm_jordan_full-63.zip  it's great so far, but there is a slight problem where it does not play mp3 by hardware encoding like it used to in stock ROM 2.2. So I can only play mp3 files through apps like Moboplayer or Playerpro, but not from the default 'Music' app (the grey and pink ones), any suggestions?

Only tried that once, and fixed it with turning mass storage off and on again. But imo the 60's nightlies so far have been more buggy than 50's, så maybe it will fix with the newer updates. Lets hope ;)
