Hello. First of all, I want to say there is no dedicated subforum to this phone, so I'm left with posting it here. Now to the main part.

I am fairly relatively new to doing this kind of stuff, but I managed to get this far. First of all, I am working with linux mint x64 (lisa) (based off of ubuntu 11.10) and I believe GCC 4.6. I have taken the liberty of trying to compile cyanogenmod for my device (zte warp), but I have a big 'n juicy error that I probably won't be able to figure out easily and it has a LOOOOOOOOOT of warnings:

http://www.pasteall.org/29166  (too big for pastebin or the cyanogen forum)

I should also mention that the zte warp runs 2.3.5 and PLATFORM_VERSION below states 2.3.7. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not

I re-did the compilation and I get another error this time: http://pastebin.com/RJJGPD2f

Sorry for double posting (I'm not sure if that's a rule here), but I have managed to get a build of cm7 for the warp. However, it is 100% non-functional, and needs work. I can't even logcat in root status in linux and it won't even reach the boot logo let alone the lock screen. It's stuck at the splash image currently and I'm not sure how to debug this if I cant logcat or something. I thought about using bootchart, but it won't compile and im quite confused about the whole thing. the entire build output is here: http://www.pasteall.org/29294 if anyone is interested in helping me :s

edit: I tried to logcat in windows to see if it was a misconfig in linux, but that didn't work either. :(

I am not the most knowledgable person to answer your question, actually not sure what it is exactly. LOL

But, I would not dwell on 2.3.5 or 2.3.7, I would jump to Ice Cream Sandwich. There is alot more work going on in that arena right now. Your phone seems very similar to the LG Revolution. Try looking here http://forum.xda-dev...play.php?f=1180
Then do more research by searching various forums.
ICS is nice, I'm waiting for the next release for my HP Touchpad.
Good Luck with upgrades.

Yeah, I agree ics is nice but the phone i got just recieved cmw not too long ago (still in beta) and im actually currently the only one who's doing any dev work for the thing. The other one who released cmw hasn't been on since the 10th. There are no rom's yet even.

I think what I need to do is figure a way to debug this thing through another method than logcat (adb doesnt work) and bootchart (wont compile). Also in what ways are the revolution similar to the warp?

I can release a build that I have made upon request if anyone is willing to look at it. I also have a theory that there are missing files or they are misplaced because I did this through the config files that were used in building cmw. He said it was possible to build cm through it but he wasnt sure how... neither am I at the moment.
