Hello. first I'd like to know what is the best way to partition my SD card for s2e . i could do it with rom manager but I've read that quite few people bricked their phones and they warn people not to do it..gparted looks quite complicated I'd try to use it only if there's no other easier method. windows minitool requires card reader which i dont have, i wonder what if i connected the phone to PC turned on USB storage, and partitioned it then, would that work?
also what's better for s2e, ext2 ext3 or ext4 partition? I'm on cm 7.10, HTC desire.
and will s2e move all apps to SD or i will be able to choose which ones somehow? because i have slow class 2 16gb card and don't want all apps on it.

ROM manager now works like a charm, you were probably on an older thread.  i would recommend a 512 MB partition, with a 0 MB swap and ROM manager automatically sets you up a ext 3 partition. Now after your done with that, open up s2e make sure the following are checked: applications, private apps, dalvik cache, and download cache.  Application data should be unchecked by default and should stay that way.  Now after you do that you have to reboot before s2e takes effect, the reboot will take a little longer than a normal reboot but that's because its moving the items you checked in the ext partition.

You can download apps2sd from the market after your done with the above and that program will list whats on your phone memory or sd memory so you know.

Also a good thing to do is to go Settings>CyanogenMod Settings>Application: and make sure "allow application moving to external storage" is checked, then click on "install location" and select external(sd).

have a good day.

thanks for informative answer :) my clockworkmod version is old so i decided not to risk and used gparted. now after installing s2e i see that all applications were moved to SD as theres 135mb free in internal storage. my SD card is quite slow, just 2 class, id like to move some most used apps to internal storage, how do i do that?

Just go to settings> applications> manage applications and select what apps you want to be in you're internal memory instead of you're sd card or you can use an apps2sd program from the market to move your apps to internal.

hmm..according to "manage applications" menu most apps i have now are in internal memory(because there is option "move to SD card" on them). but then it also shows that i have 135mb free in internal memory which means the internal memory is unused..sorry, im confused
