and one more thing please....how do I know my baseband from old and new??? my lg is optimus t p509 software version v10h does that make a difference??? I am just looking for a good Rom that you guys recommend for this phone ...already rooted and clockworkmod recovery is installed..already...pls help...thanks...

Hello DJ Optimus One ! First of all many thanks for the detailed procedure to get rid off the bloatware which mobile phone companies force us with !

Need you, to fly me out, after this step :

12) In order to make sure that everything went well; either select “Reboot Into Recovery” option in rom manager to boot into CWM recovery

I have followed all the steps mentioned in letter & spirit & after the 12th one I'm kinda stuck with a complete black background on my mobile phone's screen , on which top right corner, a message flashes :

Fastboot mode started
udc_start()

For minutes there was no activity on mobile phone's screen & under apprehension of having turned my phone into a brick, I panicked & then tried to switch it off by pushing the power button & nothing worked, later then I removed the battery & thought if it would resume in the normal mode as my phone used to be on Android 2.2 but alas the same(above mentioned) commands flashed on my computer screen, again ! Next I patiently waited for 4-5 minutes & having noticed no activity again on screen I tried to connect my LG P500 to laptop via USB & this is the message that displayed :

I cant root my LG Optimus One D:, I downloaded the z4root and I press 'permanent root', after appear a loading bar and finally I go to menu app, I open z4root and appear a message saying 'z4root doesnt work' D:

Installation aborted.
Someone said in another post to adb push it onto the sd card and it will work. I do not know how to do this yet. Anybody?

from another forum here.  I have yet to load a recovery or ROM. So much contradictory "advice" on the internet.

Some questions on recovery/baseband and CWM. "Baseband" refers to the software that controls the cell radio. "New" and "old" versions of baseband imply choosing a compatible kernel/ROM. So.... how is version of CWM recovery software dependent upon baseband version? (I don't recall seeing various versions of Amon Ra)

The CM7 nightlies documentation now "endorses(?)" new baseband. I just downloaded latest ROM Manager and it only seems to have CWM option for "old BB" and nothing else? The phone has been upgraded to 2.3.3 with LG software - that's "new" baseband I think.

I got the same thing: after watching a vid tut. that demonstrated a Gmail setup after the splash screen boot up, I got scared.  I didn't get a Google setup.  CM7 loaded (albeit beautifully) but "Network Not Available" appears when dialing.  No txt.  No internet.  I CAN, however, use my home wi-fi.  I thought this would save me as I can simply download zips from XDA, etc, and go recovery mode... but I'm struggling to get my network on...  After all the bells and whistles, I come to find out: I really need the "phone" part of my phone!  

Please tell me where my network is hiding...
Any ideas are appreciated.  LG Opt1 (p509; Froyo 2.3.7)
