Is there anyway for an application to open a separate framebuffer of a different resolution specifically 1920x1080 (exactly twice the horizontal and vertical resolution (*4) )
I've been messing around with a debian chroot environment and it would be much more satisfying not to mention efficient to directly give this environment its own framebuffer rather than using for example VNC
(I've seen moto's webtop and been distinctly underwhelmed!)
I'm sure with a bound mount to /mnt/sdcard and /mnt/emmc and its own framebuffer then using hdmi as the display a *very* usable and efficient Linux environment could be realised.
can anyone point me in the direction of any development doc for the hdmi?
can anyone give me the specific git url (and sub directory within) where the hdmi is accessed via cm7 which allows it to mirror the native display via hdmi ?
