For some reason I am now unable to mount my SD card. Here is a copy of a logcat: http://cyanogenmod.p...in.com/YuFui7DT

I believe this is the outstanding issue?

Check around the end of the logcat file, that is where you will find these and other logcat messages from when I tried to mount the card.

Interesting,
Either the file system is pooched or something has died with a lock on it
Trouble is with it being fat its probably going to get all messed up if you just reboot
Can you watch df and see what apps are left?
You could then try to move them to internal and see if that resolves it

I did try sending a few apps over to SD, but then put them all back and this started happening. Just ended up doing a wipe and reflashing the ROM.

Edit: I started getting this issue again. It was because I was using Swapper 2. Once I disabled the swap file, it mounted properly.

It is two settings in Swapper 2, The safe unmount and safe remount. Disabling this will fix your mounting issue. I made a thread on this a few weeks ago telling everybody about this but it got lost......

ahh, didn't think about swapper

well, if you have sd-ext then use my All in One swap option, it can create a swapfile on the sd-ext for you ;)

I don't know why unmount the sdcard came about such a problem. when we unmount the sdcard it should come the four steps.

12-19 14:36:10.125  1337  1390 I Vold    : /mnt/secure/staging/.android_secure sucessfully unmounted
12-19 14:36:10.125  1337  1390 I Vold    : /mnt/secure/asec sucessfully unmounted

12-19 14:36:10.285  1337  1390 I Vold    : /mnt/secure/staging sucessfully unmounted ------>problems occured

12-19 14:36:10.285  1337  1390 I Vold    : /mnt/sdcard unmounted sucessfully

but in my case , it came to the 3rd step and the problem got happened.

is there anybody who mentioned me what is going wrong with it.

here is how the problem happend.

step1 : play a music.
step2: add the music widget on the home screen
step3. go to setting and unmount the sdcard throungh the storage.
step4: go to home screen and check the status of the widget

and then i nstep 4, the problem happend, the widget displayed should be updated but the icon status did't make it successfully.

I found that it was the media server was killed by the vold (volume daemon )

according to the log, it seems that there was a file still using and the system tried serveral times to close the process related. but failed, and then the sytem killed these processes forcedly.

but i went to the sdcard to check the file, found it is empty.

Is there anybody who can help me ? many thanks , I appreciate it that.

Chris.
