How can i get rid of it?
Hey man, sorry if this isn't loads of help, but did you Nandroid backup? You could just boot into recovery and reflash if you did...?
Otherwise - you may try grabbing a different (or stock) kernel somewhere, boot into recovery - mount your usb, get it on the card, and install the zip from sd?

My Droid seems to hate both the 1.6 and LFY kernels even with the Wi-Fi fix. When things worked, both the CPU and battery temps were ridiculously high to the point where my failsafe profiles (>42C battery, >50C OMAP3, and >55C OMAP3) were frequently kicking in. This was with hardly any activity. Even when I clocked the phone down to 800 MHz it was still unacceptably toasty when compared to much cooler kernels like Chevy's ULV.
If that weren't bad enough, I made the mistake of turning on the Wi-Fi radio and was greeted with the dreaded bootloops. The Wi-Fi fix did not work with either the 1.6 or LFY kernels.
So it's back to P3Droid for me...
Edit: Tried the 1 GHz, 900 MHz, and 800 MHz kernels.

If you are having issues with "Wifi Error" try this driver Put it in /system/lib/modules
For the bootloop problem, from the main post:

I have a question about the kernel, why don't SetCPU's "Time in State" numbers show up? Also, I noticed that the battery usage breakdown by app also doesn't work, it will only show a few system apps.
Is there a plan to fix/incorporate this? Or is there an easy fix that can be done by the user?
Thanks!

But what if we don't want the nightly? Is he trying to imply that we should flash the nightly, then the kernel, then flash back to stable? Because that'll just overwrite the kernel. I suppose after step 2, you can use advanced nandroid restore selectively restore everything except the old kernel... Should say that though.

Although actually, I tried flashing back to slayher last night and I started getting boot loops, which I never had before. I have the Gingerbread theme though that's probably what did it. I think I'd rather have a phone that looks like GB than have the ability to use Google Goggles, though it'd be nice to try.
One of the other kernels provides very vague instructions on "insmod" ipv6, the exact commands of which are not detailed. So, meh.
