Hi There,

Afer unlocking the BootLoader (following the wiki instructtions: http://wiki.cyanogen...ll_Update_Guide & http://unlockbootloa...om/instructions), I did continue in Flashing CyanogenMod still following the wiki instructions.
Everything went 100 % perfect, no glitches.

After restating phone (Reboot system now), I see FreeXperia logo, then the CyanogenMod7 droid animated screen.

The problem is: it is asked to touch screen to start, BUT the CyanogenMod7 droid animated screen always reloads, and touching the screen and droid has no effect (no options steps proposed, can't change language, can't even have emergency calls).
Even worse, after some time, the CyanogenMod7 droid animated screen always loads, continuously leaving the "starting page" with the droid impossible to be seen anymore.

I did try to reflash, following steps 7 to 14 of the wiki, but same result.

what could cause this issue? and how to fix it?

T

PS: the phone was working perfectly with latest official Sony Ericson ROM before.

I found a solutions that is working on my SE Arc, to remove the app AntHalService.apk using the adb shell tool.

1. In the "boot looping" phase, connect your phone to PC and run ">adb shell" from the Android SDK.
2. Remove app AntHalService.apk from your device according to instructions on this page:

Or is it because of Baseband issues?

I am a newbie to ROMing my Arc and experienced the same issue last week with the stable mod: 7.1.0.2.

On a whim I tried the experimental mod: 7.2.0 and it worked. No bootloop.

Guys, sorry for the feedback quite late.

But, before doing any app uninstall, I've checked some information here and there, and found on XDA board that AntHalService is not considered to be an app to remove!

So, i've decided to pass on this, and choose another ROM. Too bad, I really felt CyanogenMOD was a great way to start, but I didn't to mess up everything.

Edit:  I know this is the SOny section, but I have this exact problem:

New here, this is the first time I've ever had to post regarding my D1.

My contract is up and I'm ready for an upgrade, but in the meantime I decided to finally try a ROM on my D1
.
I went with the CM7 stable, but the phone is in permanted bootloop animation.  I cannot do anything to the phone, and the anthalservice.apk is not found on the phone.

I can't manually reboot due to the failed on and volume buttons.

Anything more I can do, or should I take advantage of my so called "upgrade" from VZ?  ANy way to factory reset the phone through the ADB shell?

Thanks Johny, your solution works perfectly.

For those worried about removing the app - I have done so and my phone is working perfectly.
The AntHalService.apk is used to communicate with gym equipment (so unless you're using it to get stats from your running machine you won't need it).
