Afaik it's no different...
I took the plunge on my Tmobile S2 on the 22nd, I'm using CM9 and it's going great!
I used the autoroot batch file to achieve this along with some other tools, it was a fantastic walkthrough - Please see the following - http://www.starkinsi...alaxy-s-ii.html
I'm running the latest CM9, all of the tMobile/samsung bloatware is gone. Best of all I have the stock ICS UI instead of touchwiz bolted on top, It's given a new life to the phone.
You will need to manually install the google apps, please see Cyanogen wiki for information on flashing that.

CAn you please confirm that you're running CM9 on the Galaxy S2 T-MOBILE version (SGH-T989)?
I have been on XDA for months and this is the first I've seen of CM9 for my phone. I'd love to have CM9, but it seemed like it was not available.

This did not work for me. There is a check that CM9 does and it looks for GT-I900T before it does the flash. It aborts right at the beginning. I am using a T-Mobile Galaxy SII (T989)
