GPS problem on CM9

Have just flashed the latest nightly of cm9, came from stock ROM.
Everything seems fine except for GPS not working. I thought it was a Waze problem, but neither GPS status, or GPS Aids seem to get a lock.

My phone went from 0-1 satellites to 5-7 satellites being acquired consistently while indoors.

I got Faster Fix, and it did help a lot. And then I bought an external GPS bluetooth antenna for $20 and now I have 12 out of 12 satellites all the time  :).

I second Nickski's suggestion above. finally identified the problem for me.
