i just installed the lastest nightly but i am unable to sync without wifi, even then contacts will not sync. i also have no data at all when wifi is off...not sure whats going on. any help?

Since you are running Amon_RA recovery, you don't have the ability to wipe the /system partition. I would go to http://mediafire.com/temasek and find his system-only-format.zip file and download that. Flash it, and then reinstall CM and gapps. This should not cause any data loss.
