Question: how does this interface work, is there an app that is needed to push audio to USB and what device can you plug into it to play audio over USB?

Are you asking how to enable this? I have it working with the Samsung Car Dock with all apps except the Phone App. It connects the dock with usb - and has a line out in the back that you connect to an aux in.
In the 6/11/12 nightly i had audio actual working through a PHONE CALL (this is the holy grail for me). But it was a fluke.
Actually the mic stopped working - i disconnected the dock - reconnected and suddenly i could hear everything over the car stereo!! Disconnecting and re-connecting again didnt work anymore (only the first half second comes on the speakers before it switches to the crappy phone speaker)
