Do you have your nook color connected to your computer by the USB cable that came with it? With cyanogenMod you need to make sure the USB debugging is enabled by default. You can find this in the circle emblem on your taskbar. There will be an option to set the debugging mode for the nook color so it will appear as a virtual drive on your computer. You will have to unplug and replug in your nook color with your cyanogenMod for it to start working.
I see you got the cyanogenMod 7.1 in your avatar. Would you like to try a more recent release? The 7.2 is almost ready for a stable build. The latest release candidate can be found here. http://download.cyan.../?device=encore
It is a RC 3 so its almost ready to go stable. Its been really stable for me already on the nook color, I havent noticed any bugs using it over the last few days.

I have been using wifi to sync and have no trouble with the phone, just the Nook Color. Is it possible to do both? If it is I am doing exactly the same for both but the Nook Color will not sync. Yes I am going to try 7.2 soon, but we are going overseas the end of the month and I will be happy to just get the Nook set up to sync. Don't want to change much this close to when we are leaving in case I have changes I have to deal with.
I had my very tech hubby look at it to see if he can get it working. All he has to do to get my problem cases working is just look at them and they start to work even if he is doing exactly what I did earlier, but he is as frustrated as I am at this point.

The sync function for the nook color through the google accounts gmail and through the playstore you mean? I think I know what you are getting at now. Just go into your settings that come with cyanogenmod and open that. Then you go to the accounts and sync icon , its the second option down on mine. The accounts and sync option will then open up.
You then are in the general sync settings that are connected to your gmail and the other sync accounts for google. In there make sure you auto sync is checked on. On mine the background data is also checked on. You should also have a green circle with an arrow by your manage accounts. On mine is says sync is on.
If you are having trouble syncing your account with google recheck your email and your password. You might want to delete your account and then re add it to make your account functional again. When I click on my gmail another option comes up also, the sync contacts and the sync calendar are all clicked on too.
I hope this helps you. I will check on this thread tomorrow if you need further help ok? Good luck.

Gave up on this program. We both worked for hours and then installed gsyncit and everything is working. Thanks for helping. I had already done what you suggested earlier. I tried reinstalling everything again with no luck.
