Hi guys, I have searched all over the Cyanogen and XDA forums for a problem similar to mine, but I cannot find any information anywhere.  I have been running a Cyanogen Rom since I got my Nexus One (5.0.8), rooted the first night!

I can connect to my companies exchange server fairly easily, and all mail and folders sync with no problem, calendar and contacts too.  But after a period of time, usually 24hrs, it ceases to sync the Inbox.  All other subfolders continue to sync as well as calendar and contacts, just the Inbox stops. I have tried several things: reduce the amount to sync, from 2 weeks all the way down to 3 days; I have moved subfolders from under Inbox to under the main Mailbox, same result; with or without SSL.

There is a coworker who has an unrooted EVO 4G, and initially when he had it sync 2 weeks it did not like it, so he moved the contents of his Inbox to a subfolder and set up sync.  After this he has no problems whatsoever. I tried this trick and it worked for about a week, but then stopped.  We compared the sizes of our folders (heh) and he has significantly more mail than I do so I don't know why mine would stop and his would be unaffected.

I am now on CM6 rc3, no kernel mods, no themes.  Any help you guys can provide would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

Same - If I go to applications and force close the email app, it will work for a while again.  Rebooting works for a while too.

This is only since I went to 6.0.0 - never had problems with the 6.RC's or the 5.0.x

I'm not sure if I'm having the exact same problem, but I have noticed that ActiveSync in CM6 stopped working properly after our Exchange 2010 server was upgraded to SP1.  I'm getting server connection errors and duplicate calendar entries.  I'm wondering if it has something to do with the older version of ActiveSync in CM6 (12.0 in CM6) not playing as nice with SP1.

There is the same issue with Exchange 2007
It has nothing to do with the exchange server ...

I have the same issue with my N1 since upgrading to 6RC.  I have to reboot the device every morning to get it to work and it quits working every evening for me...

I started having problems with my phone reading the apps that were on the smart card, and since I wiped the card, and did a reset on my phone, everything has been working fine with the activesync

I am having the same problem but my phone appears to only last a couple of hours before my ActiveSync stops working.  I am hesitant to reformat my SD card as there is quite a bit of data there.  I upgraded last week from CM6.0.0-RC1 to the CM6.0.0 stable release and that is when the problem started.  I would be happy to be a test case for trying something, but would like to do it with the involvement of the devs to see if my testing leads to a real fix.

I moved to the CM6.0.0.N1 and I am still having the same problem. It seems like the sync works until it reaches the end of the sync period. If I have it set to one week it will work for a week, and 3 days for 3 days.  I cannot do anything short of deleting and re-adding the account to get emails again.  Force closing does not work.

After wiping and reloading my phone over the last weekend, I was ok for a couple of days, but just now the problem came back.

6.0.0 with 3 day retention.

FC'ing the email app made it pick up the missed mails, but apparently bigger than a reload can fix.

Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I'm still having this problem.

The temporary remediation works, but it is indeed temporary. 6.1.0-N1

Wiping does not appear to help, so I decided to format the SD card AND wipe the phone. After setting up the Exchange Activesync again, it has been working flawlessly without any problems. It has been working fine the past few days.

Just backup the SD card to your computer, and then format it from recovery.

http://forum.cyanoge...010-activesync/

i posted a fix for people having an issue connecting to 2007 or 2010 if they run CM, but that fix is for those who can't resolve the server at all.  In your case, i wonder if there is some kind of task killer that is killing the email service and thus no longer syncing?
