Hello, I have a problem with my nexus one. Yesterday rooted my device and installed the latest (stable*) cyanogenmod 7.1.0. I like it a lot and everything is amazing. Everything, but one thing - i noticed that i no longer have 3G connection.
I googled my issue, i found some topics talking about the loss of data connection, but non of those topics explained how to solved this problem properly. I couldnt find anything on this forum either. Any help, please? ;( and thanks

Do you have a data connection just no 3G? Did you have 3G beforehand? What is your radio/baseband version?

I had to go back to the stock rom 2.3.6 (and my data seems to be working just fine, the icon "H" appeared right away after the phone finished loading).Right now i have radio/baseband version: 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04 and everything is working.
when i was on CM 7.x.x i tried to flash different versions, at least 3 of them, and non of those had data/3g connection. It was said under "Mobile network state: disconnected". Even though data/3g was on, there were no edge/3g icons appearing in the top bar.
Is it possible to change a baseband? after flashing CM?
and thank you for responding.

There shouldn't be a need to change the baseband. The 5.08 version is one of the best for the N1. As for your issue, how did you upgrade it? Did you do any wipes? If so, what ones? Also, what provider are you with? If it isn't a major US provider, the APNs may not be there.

I copied the CM file on my memory card then from the recovery did a full wipe(wipe data/factory and the other one..), after that i installed the CM rom.
I am with Claro. (Panama)

When referring to your wipe, what is "the other one"?
Have you checked with your provider to verify your APN settings are correct (I thought you were in the US due to your flag on your profile)?

i meant "the other one" - wipe cache partition. Everything is working flawlessly when i am on 2.3.6 stock rom.

Well, a full wipe includes manually wiping the /system partition from within recovery. And it could still be a lack of correct APN settings. You would have to get those from your provider (or write them down from your current ROM.
