I just updated a Samsung I896 with Cyanogenmod 9 ---------Well outdated to Incredible S ----- where's 9?

There is no 9 for us. There is lots of work being done using code from 9 on the XDA forums.
I think everyone is waiting on the official release of ICS from HTC, due out this month/next month, before you will see anything stable and fully featured.

I've been playing with IceColdSandwich 8.0 lately and its super smooth, far better than just about any ROM i've ever seen. Sadly as with just about anything other than CM7.X series, it will randomly freeze and reboot itself, regardless or kernel or cpu governer on my INC-S.

Deadly and thanks--> good call on the IceColdSandwich 8.0!  Working awesome right now, even recognized my phone carrier without having to add APN's or anything. I never had any reboot issues yet either.  Definately try CM9 whenever it does come out all the same.

Thanks to  the team !  I very like cm7.2 . It's amazing smoothly. Expect for 9.0 or 10.0 for us . Sorry for my poor English
