Short answer... we don't know. Long answer... it is never polite to ask for ETAs in any software project.

as i am not a software developer, i dont know the little rules you software developers have.

I am not a developer either. But the developers who are working on this are doing it in their spare time and can't make guarantees on when something will be finalized. Rather than taking guesses and then having tens of thousands of people (yes, CM is that big... it has over 2 million installs) ticked off if you don't happen to meet them, the CM dev team just stays quiet on when they expect to have RCs or stables released.
