Lets have a thread for a nightly status of the call issues here so we can keep up to date on what's going on with it and who is getting it and not.

20120619 underwater / low volume on caller end still present

Anyone experience anything on 20?

The unofficial 6/20 version posted fixed it.  I'm not sure if 6/20 Nightly fixed it as well, or not.

I can't post links yet, but it's on the CM9 post on XDA.  Check out the T989 forum and it's in the Team Chopsticks CM9 post.  They're not posted very often.

Anyone know if this was fixed in the 6/21 release?

Yes it is, however the fixes have been pushed just not in the new builds yet

I just tested the 6/22 nightly after clean wipe (dark side) and UVCL8 radio/modem.  The phone sounds like shit unless you like screaming into the microphone while having a conversation.  (Doesn't go over well with everyone on the commute into work at 6:30am).  I've tried several radios and no go.  I just wiped and installed the dark side ICS Beta 7 and the phone quality sounds awesome, so it's definitely not fixed in the cm9 nightly builds yet.

Correct, as of now it is only fixed in the unofficial builds.  It should be included in the next few days, though.

Looks like it was included in the 6/24 nightly.  I've had no complaints on mic quality and have tested it out several times.  Anyone else have the same results with 6/24?

I just made a call on 6/29 and didn't notice any issues with call quality. This was using the normal phone speaker (not speaker phone or BT).

I'm using nightly 7/20 and I'm experiencing low speaker volume problem. Other parties complained volume is very low from my end that they can barely hear me. Tested it with Skype, volume from my end do seem very low.

Was on 06/29 with no problems for a long time, started to experience some unrelated problems so I flashed the 07/14 nightly and it caused audio problems. When on speaker phone, callers report that it is echoing and they can hear themselves as if they were on hold. When on a regular call they report that it either sounds like an echo that breaks up what I'm saying, or that I sound like a transformer. I've flashed nightlies every night since, and the problem still exists. I've also done a complete wipe and flash, still nothing.

Open the phone and hit menu then settings, then scroll down and check "Noise suppression"

I've actually had the exact same issue as most people have described here.
However, it is fixed by enabling Noise Suppression.
Thanks guys

I just wanted to add that turning on (Phone / Settings / Noise Suppression) solved this problem for me.

Thanks guys!

Noise suppresion did not fix the issue on my girlfriend's phone. Calls sound fine but audio in Google Talk has a lot of noise and garbling. Maybe try a different radio? Any suggestions?

In Google Hangouts, there is no audio at all, but I believe that's been reported as a separate issue.

Thank you all. I can confirm Noise suppression worked for me as well. Mic volume was real low but then after enabling it... there was a significant difference.
