I waited long before installing CM9 on my Nexus S, but yesterday I flashed the latest Nightly and I must admit I'm disappointed. I do not critics the devs here, but I used to used the CM7 nightlies on my Nexus One without issue.

But, since yesterday I encountered a couple of very annoying bugs:

- Something when a web page loads or when I switch from one news to another, there is a lot of screen flickering (horizontal blueish or redish lines).
- When the battery is low, the touchscreen does not respond well.
- Silent hours doesn't work well either.
- This morning, my alarm sound was very low, but I setted it to MAX volume yesterday night.
- Yesterday, I received a call and no ringtone!?!?!
- I get a weird "Zone display error" message everytime I reboot the phone. It is probably related to my provider (Videotron, which have different "zones" and when you are "out of this zone", you don't pay the prices).

Is it normal I encountered this much bugs in less than 24 hours? By the way, I used "wipe-rom" script (through recovery) before flashing the nightly and I haven't restored anything from TB except a couple of apps.

Don't interpret this message the wrong, I do really appreciate the effort the CM team is doing and I even gave money to the project. It made my Nexus One a "beast". I just tought CM9 was more "ready" for a daily usage.

I can't wait to be back in the CM family again!

In the meantime I enjoy indirectly it through a hacked Amazon Kindle Fire (unofficial port).

which model do you have? Mine is the european 9023 ..
I'm quite a noob with custom roms, but I followed instructions and I didn't experience any problem.

I was able to restore settings and apps from my previous 4.0.4 stock installation, too.

I'm very satisfied, I won't go back to stock, even if CM9 is still a nightly.

I would suggest you to try with another nightly, but as I said I'm quite a noob and you should be advised by some experienced user :)

I have the t-mobile (AWS) version.

I'll keep flashing the latest Nightlies for a few days... If I do still have these issues, I'll go back to my "almost stock ICS rom" that worked flawlessly for months.

I installed CM9 RC1 and most of the annoyances I had are gone... But my phone crashed twice in the last few hours while playing some music with Google Play Music.

Bad luck?!?!?!   :(

I finally got stability out of CM9 nightlies. I only have one problem left. My phone freeze while I play music on Google Music, happened twice in the last couple of hours. I have to pull the battery. :-(

Maybe you should try some other music Apps. I think Apollo is not good enough.

I need Google Music, because I have 12K songs. No phone can hold this much. ;-)

I gave up and installed JB. I'll be back when CM10 will be out.

I had a similar problem with Google Play Music (I'm also on Videotron, though I don't know if this is why). An update to the Google Play Music app seemed to have corrected it for me. Google Play Music is not available in the Play Store for Videotron users, so I had to use Market Enabler to get into the T-Mobile Play Store. It automagically found the update and installed it, then it was all good.

For me, the problem seemed to occur more when I was using GPS at the same time as music streamed over A2DP Bluetooth (usually in my car).

Je sais pas about your Google play but if you have another problem with erreur de la zone utilisez une blah blah or you will get an error saying com.phone.android has stopped working

just remove the STK.apk app from the zip file before flashing your phone or if it's installed with Root uninstaller remove the STK.apk that the thing that was giving you problems and you will get more trust me.

I'm with videotron and I was getting that error with almost all the rom and then I decided to work on it and I found the problem. Took me months to figure this out.

Well finally I'm able to help someone with that.Anyways.

Salut Steve
