No Audio Voice With Viber

Anyone have the same problem?? if i call another phone with cm9 i don't hear nothing.

I'm experiencing a similar problem.  No in-cal voice audio through "internal" speaker however if i turn on the loud speaker or use headphones i get sound. very frustrating.

Viber doesn't work with CM9 because of a prop.build issue. It's known by Viber itself too. Search in the Xda forum.

Download bulid prop editor and in ro product model put SGH-9000

Hi,

This is a member of the Viber R&D team.

Unfortunately CM9 is not fully supported with Viber, we are aware of some audio issues with several Android devices.
Please download the new 2.2 version to be released in few days and let us know if the problem persists.

Let us know if you have any further questions/concerns.

Now back to my question. Do you have exactly day when new version should be released in Play store?

We wouldn't want to guarantee a specific date, as this could slightly change due to last minute fixes or testing.
If all goes as planned, we should be releasing the new version within the next several days.

Our new version contains many new features, improvements and bug fixes, the highlights of which are:

- Group Messaging
- Personal photos can now be added to your Contacts
- Time stamps for each and every message on your text conversations

Hi,
I tried the lastest viber yesterday, and now it works nicely. Thanks for that.
Since you are asking for feedback, some versions ago, viber was eating all the battery of my HTC Legend. I don't have it anymore, so I don't know if that was still happening. It was a pain to get any support, and the reactions were that I was wrong, and that was not possible. I sent screenshots of the battery usage, and then they told me that cyanogemod was not supported. So not very nice support.
I'm happy to see a change in the way the support is done, and I think most of the people running moded phones will also be happy to collaborate with your own development, testing features, helping with the debug, etc. You know about a month ago that the new version will correct the problem we had, so instead of making us wait for it, we could have tried a beta version at our own risk. Then we would have been happier to be able to use viber again, and you might have discovered some bugs/problems faster.
I see it this way: We like your product, we want you to succeed, let us also help.

Please note that at this stage we don't officially support custom ROMs with Viber. Running Viber on a custom ROM results in various side effects (sometimes total lack of functionality), but we can't afford to support all custom ROMs out there. We are continuously working to adapt Viber to more and more ROMS, but meanwhile - you might want to contact the ROM developer for further support - they may be able to resolve this issue.

The problem is that I can't install the programme on my device.

What error message are you seeing? What happens when you try to install it on your device from Play Store?

The error message is that the programme is not installed. I install the programme from 1mobile market because play store is not available in Syria.

Alternately, try deleting Viber, rebooting your device, and downloading Viber through the direct link in our official HelpDesk:

Supported Devices

However, please note that as far as we know, the authorities in Syria have decided to block Viber in the whole country, and that is probably why you are experiencing this issue. Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help :(


Try contacting the authorities and ask for the reason for this block.
