I'm having trouble downloading/opening any attachments in the SMS. Has anyone esle had similar issues?

What build? What messaging app? It helps to share specifics.

I'm using RC1 but the text messaging has stopped working since Beta4. (The green smiley face).

Are you using a theme? Any mods?

No, it's the default theme that came with CM9

Then I would wipe and re-install with a fresh download of RC1. Did you restore any data? It's highly unadvised. I installed clean when I moved over to cm9 and haven't had any of the issues others have experienced, and my MMS sends and receives just fine. Alternatively it could be carrier related.

No, I didn't install any data. As suggested I didn't even clean the caché.

Update: I did a factory clean up and reinstalled the mod and it works fine now.
