Hi All,

After a long long search and many red herrings I admit to a true Truman experience: Am I really the only one who does not know if / when CM9 will become available form my trusty Desire HD? Please don't flame, but point me to the obvious link that I missed...

Thanks!

As far as I can tell, there hasn't been any development for it in a while, however HTC are due to release Android 4.0 for the DHD this month so that should hopefully kickstart some development.

Unfortunately that doesn't mean your carrier will actually let you have it.

I'm currently running ICS using the ROM from this link: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1689646

Battery life is subjective and vary from user to user but based on my experience it's better than CM 7.2... No major issues so far =)

After extensive testing, we’ve determined that the current version of HTC Sense with Android provides customers with the best experience on the HTC Desire HD. When we consider new versions of software, we weigh a number of factors, but ultimately the customer experience on the product is the deciding factor. We apologize for any confusion this change may have caused our customers.

2) You Cannot Delete All Contacts From PEOPLE and cannot import Vcards from your memory. it gives an option, but you cannot import them.because it gives some error.

It bites that HTC decided to back out on offering the ICS update.  I hope they still release the source code that they were utilizing to test with.  It would help all devs get better working ROMS for the DHD/Inspire.

Guys don't worry, HTC changed idea again. They will relase leaked drivers/kernel and so on, so everything it's fine, just wait some weeks

Are you sure? where did you hear about this?

I post in some HTC message boards and e-mails to htc to either let us have ICS or leak somehow(by accident :P) the source kernel 3.0 and
the proprietary drivers to make this happen but I don't think this is going to happen

I wish but.. I don't count on it, here's my 2 cents

I didn't hear anything over XDA ..but I might have missed it. About the official HTC blog, did you see an official HTC person telling that or just rumors from people?

2.4 - flawless so far! I toggle between this and icecoldsandwich 8.5 as my daily drivers.

This is an unofficial CM9 of course.....Not sure if a full proper CM9 version will ever be released though the Kernel is available now as thanks to team Virtuous.
