Hi all,

So I followed the "noob-proof" instructions and installed CM9 on my SII, got to the point where it SHOULD have rebooted, but now it won't turn on...at all.  No recovery, no nothing.  I'm at a loos as to what to do.  Any ideas?

Ok, I see your problem. You have a Galaxy Skyrocket (SGH-i767), NOT a Galaxy SII (SGH-i777). You installed CM9 for the SGH-i777. You flashed the wrong ROM.

I'm not sure if the i767 works similar to the i777, but if you enter recovery and HOPEFULLY you made a backup of your phone after you rooted it or if you backed up before you flashed the i777 ROM, then you should be able to restore it from ClockWorkMod Recovery.

If you can not boot into CWM Recovery, then follow these steps. The only thing is that you are going to have to bring your phone back to stock and re-root it. But after you re-root it with CWM working on it, you should be able to bring up one of your older backups and just reflash that and you should not have lost as much data/settings that you had on your phone.

1) Take out the Battery from Phone (VERY IMPORTANT)
2) Plug USB into Computer
3) Hold Vol. Down Button
4) Plug other end of USB into Phone
5) Now you are in Download Mode!
6) Re-Root Phone
7) Restore your last Backup via Recovery Mode
8) Kiss your phone
9) Start finding moar haxxx!

When you go to flash a CM9 ROM, make sure you download the correct ROM for your phone. Here is the link to ALL the CM9 ROMs for your SGS2 Skyrocket, http://get.cm/?devic...et&type=nightly
