Very new to all this rooting stuff, I installed CM7 yesterday on my HTC Desire and want to partition the 32GB SD card to improve the Desire's poor internal memory. From ROM manager I went to Reboot into Recovery and via CWM chose ext 1024 and swap 0. First question was that a good mix, some guides say swap 32 some say 0? Second question: Storage settings now say SD 28GB, but Internal storage is still 148MB. Do I need to do something else to make more internal space available or have I misunderstood the meaning of that 148 figure?

After following various guides I've downloaded Link2SD from Play (chose ext3 at installation) and it seems to work OK with the partition I made via CWM, so I guess swap 0 is good.
Still have a question though. One one the guides was insistent partition should be done with MiniTool Partition Wizard instead so I downloaded that but didn't use it as CWM seemed to work. However when I look at the SD card via the MiniTool it can't see the partition I've made. Why is that? I like the idea of the MiniTool now I've read more about it as apparently the size of the partition can be changed again without having to wipe the content. Can I use the MiniTool to change the partition size or am I stuck with what I have because I used CWM to create it initially?

MiniTool can see the partition but only when the SD card is read directly by the PC via an adapter, for some reason it can't see the partition when the SD card is still in the phone and using a usb cable
