I knot this app is not officially supported on Verizon, so I have it side loaded to begin with, and I understand my phone is rooted and running a custom ROM here.  But, I had been very successful using Google Wallet in various locations with NFC payment terminals.  Since I installed CM9RC1 though, it doesn't seem to work.  It looks like it will, the payment terminal is detected and it says it sends the payment, but then nothing happens.  It's like the final step of the payment actually being sent just isn't happening.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?  Trying to figure out if it's just Google Wallet, or something not working right with CM9RC1 (which overall rocks by the way).  A little disappointed that I won't have more time to play with it since CM10 will probably be out somewhat soon.  Anyway, hope someone else out there is experiencing this or has a fix.  One last note, I am several versions back on Google Wallet, Version 1.1-R41v8.  I haven't been able to upgrade it since the Play Store won't do it and I haven't found the APK for any newer versions that would install correctly.  So I guess if anyone else has an updated version, that would be cool too.  Thanks.

Did you un-link your NFC chip from Google Wallet before flashing RC1? If not, you just bricked your NFC chip (it cannot be unlocked at the moment) and the hardware key is disabled.

If you did un-link it correctly, then I have no idea.

Could you please elaborate?  This is the first I've heard of unlinking chips and consequent bricking.  I would like to avoid that mistake.  What is involved in unlinking from Wallet?  Is it enough to simply close the app?

You need to go into the wallet application and unlink it in the settings somewhere. I did the same thing the first time I flashed a CM9 rom and I contacted google and according to them there was currently no way to unlock it for use after resetting your phone unless you cleared the internal encryption key from being paired with your current install of Wallet.

If you have a backup from before, reload it and you should be able to do it there. If not, you might be screwed without getting a replacement phone.

According to this thread (http://www.droidforu...lashaholic.html) if you turn off NFC before flashing you should be okay. Also, NFc will work, just not for anything that requires the secure element (ie. Wallet).

Here's another post that says you need to reset the chip in google wallet before flashing. Again, if you have a backup, reload it and give it a shot. I didn't and I can't use google wallet anymore ;(

thats possibly the issue but not for certain. you would get a secure element error if that was it.

A lot of times it's the rom that causes google wallet not to work. Has anyone been able to get it to work on CM?

never heard of bricking the chip before... Looks like I am screwed also.... ;'(

I would have thought someone would have mentioned that somewhere in all the instructions I have seen for flashing roms/kernals/recoveries/etc.
