Anyone know anything about an official CM9 build for the Droid 2?  Release candidate would be great, but I'll take nightly builds as this point. I check the download page almost daily, but nothing is showing up yet.

I know there are some unofficial ports of CM9 out there.  Any luck with these?  I'm hoping for something at least as stable as CM 7.2 or better.

I ran an unofficial CM9 for 10 days or so and went back to CM7.  It was this one:  CM9-D2-08192012.

ICS has some OK features, but one of them (so far) is NOT that my phone ran better...

I don't think mute worked on the phone.  Which was a little unsettling to find out AFTER.  "Clock" constantly crashed.  And the touch screen didn't work nearly as well.  The camera hasn't been figured out.  Video  recording was not working at all and my camera really didn't work the couple of times I tried it.

I think you can try it without a lot of trouble, but the most disturbing thing was that both of my nandroid backups failed to pass .md5 check when I went to restore.  And there must be something in one of the partitions that didn't get formatted because when I did a "factory reset" and reinstalled CM7 7.2.0, my WiFi hotspots were still there. Definitley copy your nandroids to another location and check them.  Maybe even do a reinstall of the backups before you assume they work.  Or use an alternate card to run CM9.

My phone was dialed in as well as it ever had been, before CM9, so I'm a little bummed that my image's were no good.  Thankfully Titanium Backup pulled through.  My D2 can run pretty good with(Edit:Without I meant to write...) overclocking on CM7.  What's supposed to be so much better about ICS?

I think JB is being worked on too, isn't it?
