I had my N1 for two years on CM and I freaking loved it. Now the Galaxy Nexus has the Jelly Bean update and I love it. Should I wait until CM10 (such a long wait) to get the best of both worlds or should I eschew JB for the CM'ed ICS experience? I honestly can't decide which registers higher on the awesometer. Any thoughts on the matter?

I'm owning a Nexus S for the last year. Now that the Jelly Bean is arrived and tried it for one day I can easily say say that I will stick on CM9 till CM10.
My phone became really smooth and responsive with JB but with CM9 I get all the features I want with a very stable and smooth ROM. So I'll wait for first CM10 RC's (I be live that they won't take so long since the move from ICS to JB isn't so dramatically huge).

Haven't tried JB yet but really tempted.  But I do really enjoy CM9.  I think I can wait it out until some nightlies start to hit.  Would really love to see an Alpha CM10 for my GN as it is the launch device for JB shouldn't it be an easier port?

Good point. I like the level of customization, and while I love JB, I also love ICS, and since the difference isn't really dramatic... I think the customization and functionality of CM9 over stock JB wins out. Plus, I have the Transformer Prime and that was definitely going to CM9 so I'll have matching awesomeness!

The differences in performance is actually pretty large. I tried out CM9 before I switched to JB, and decided I love the smoothiness more. Been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I really prefer JB over CM9.

you can easily get an alpha version of cm10 from the google+ page of rafael salas (https://plus.google....836277981844223), the official cm maintainer of the maguro.
I am using the latest version since its release date without getting any errors at all as dayliy driver, so i consider it very stable. The increase of speed with jb is immense and easily compensates the few features which aren't ported from ics until now in my opinion.

I ended up going to CM9, I missed it too much, lol. I like it about the same as JB, for different reasons though. I definitely can't wait for CM10 stable, then all will be right in the world!

I'm using CM10 + Lean Kernel since yesterday and the combination is both smooth and fast with very good battery life so far.  No major issues at this point, maybe we'll be seeing stable in just a couple months this time around?
