OK I'm having an issue with my CM6 stable on multiple fronts. I use the FR-all in one patch which could very well be causing the problems, but seeing as nobody else using the script is having the same issues as me, I figure it has to be some unseen bugs in the CM6 final release. All I get is reboots and errors that say system process will not respond, along with that the homescreen scrolling on my N1 seems kind of laggy. I am currently trying to diagnose the issues but if anyone else is seeing the same problems as me, please feel free to post ur findings and fixes on this topic. Thanx a bunch!

no i am not a first to cm 6, ive had the first two RC's and before that i was on CM 5.0.8, i am not new to cyanogenmod which is why im wondering y there are so many issues. im not going to wipe because i am in iraq and would have no way to redownload my apps, thats why im trying to troubleshoot as much as i can, wiping will be a last resort kinda deal. so if u have anything useful to share, i would appreciate the love. thanx!

Backup your apps rather than redownload them? Titanium or whatever will do fine. But yeah, full wipey... I've had no issues with 6.0.0 that anyone else is referring to.

ok not tryin to shoot u down bro but as i stated in a reply earlier, i am only gonna wipe as a last resort becuz i wont be able to redownload all my apps being that im in iraq and i have no data connection out here, that means that whether or not i do a titanium back up, it still wont work as i would have to redownload titanium from the market, which without a data connection is impossible. thanx for the tip tho, just not what im looking for!

There's a slightly older version available on his website... http://matrixrewrite...aniumBackup.apk

If you have a way to get on the forum maybe you can DL that to your SD card and then still perform a full wipe, then reinstall Titanium APK from your SD card, then do full restore! :)

When in doubt FULL WIPES generally fix lil issues/glitches in the OS :)

Tip

1. Use titanium backup to backup your apps and settings.
2. Extract titanium backup to SD card or look for ways to get titanium backup off the market, so that u can install it off your SD card.
3. Nandroid backup your current Rom
4. Perform full wipe
5. Flash cm6 stable
6. Flash gapps
7. Install titanium backup from your SD card.
8. Restore apps.
9. Optional donate to titanium backup dev :-)

Should resolve your worries.

ok so when u guys say move titanium to my sd card, should i place it on the root of my card or a sub folder on my card? and how do i reinstall it if i dont have access to the market? is there a way i can adb install the old titanium back up? i tried installing a couple apps via adb but my command prompt would always freeze after the command executes, needless to say it didnt complete the install process. help please?

1. Use Astro File Mgr to backup your titanium backup app. The apk file will be saved in
mnt/sdcard/backups/apps
2. Use your titanium backup to backup all your apps and settings including contacts, calendars, system settings, etc. Basically you wanna backup everything also can.
3. Once you successfully flashed cm, install your titanium backup from your SD card.
4. Run titanium and start restoring.

ok about the contacts, i never saw an option in titanium to back up my contacts. but this is what im thinking, if i restor my 5.0.8 nandroid which has all my apps n contacts, my titanium backup will lose its 2.2 system apps backup or it will become corrupted...how do i avoid that issue should it arise? i dont wanna overwrite the titanium backup i did on the cm6 backup just to get all my contacts from the 5.0.8 nandroid. man life is so complicated...sorry im taking up so much of ur time but ur help is greatly appreciated.

Usually users don't backup system apps, only possible backup system settings. Won't corrupt.

Btw there is contacts settings in titanium.

*ahem*

Don't worry about wasting anyone's time. It's voluntary work :-)

Don't get so complicated. If u can manage to grab the apk files off the net, install on your current Rom. Backup your settings, contacts, apps, etc.

Flash new Rom. Install the apk files to your new Rom. Start restoring.

It's like conventional offline backup / restore.
