ok not tryin to shoot u down bro but as i stated in a reply earlier, i am only gonna wipe as a last resort becuz i wont be able to redownload all my apps being that im in iraq and i have no data connection out here, that means that whether or not i do a titanium back up, it still wont work as i would have to redownload titanium from the market, which without a data connection is impossible. thanx for the tip tho, just not what im looking for!

Titanium Backup has the ability to create an "update.zip" file, which can be flashed from your SD card in recovery mode.  This feature might require the paid version... not sure.

It does need a recovery which can flash unsigned zips, however.  Clockwork fits the bill, IIRC, while Amon_Ra only handles signed zips.

o nah im good now bro, i played around with the firerat all n 1 patch n got all my apps back, even the ones that FC'd on me before now operate. and funny thing is, i did a nandroid and the full wipe, i didnt think that my nandroid would work after a wipe cuz of the problems i ran into before, but it actually worked! so thanx for the advice, altho it was like i said, it was a last resort! too bad i wasted so much time troubleshooting instead of just wiping, but i did learn some interesting new things while troubleshooting. thanx for the help man!

Not quite true. Amon_Ra recovery 1.80 can handle unsigned zips.

Woots!

Export your contacts to vCard format

From the build-in CM6 contact, import from SD card from vCard format.

Should work....simplified....no nid to install any app. Just transfer the saved vCard format file to your SD Card.

Exporting Gmail contacts

You can quickly export your Gmail Contacts list into a CSV file. Here's how:

1. Sign in to Gmail.
2. Click Contacts along the side of any Gmail page.
3. From the More actions drop-down menu, select Export....
4. Choose whether to export all contacts or only one group.
5. Select the format in which you'd like to export your contacts' information. Please note, some of these formats can lose some contact information.
* To transfer contacts between Google accounts, use the Google CSV format. This is the recommended way to back up your Google Contacts.
* To transfer contacts to Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or various other apps, use the Outlook CSV format.
* To transfer contacts to Apple Address Book, use the vCard format.
6. Click Export.
7. Choose Save to Disk then click OK.
8. Select a location to save your file, and click OK.

How on earth I missed that? Must rest my eyes......time to play with my baby boy...gnite!

I learnt something again....cheers  :D

Cute. Hmm then backtrack a bit.

Let's try getting the offline sync app install to your SD card. This time use csv format.
