There is an unofficial version which has quite a few features missing like wifi and audio just to name a few. Its been hosted on XDA developers forums. This is the only cyanogenmod rom anywhere... Its cm9, the latest so far apart from 10 which is in testing (i think). Here's a link: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1861418

I'm running Elk759 's CM10 ROM on my HTC Desire from xda developers for 2 days now and it's running well.  Like a brand new phone after 2 years.

(if I may link to xda ?)
Here is the ROM

sorry, but the rom for the original "HTC desire" wont work for the "HTC desire C"
Its a different model of phone and the hardware is different so therefore it wont work. This phone hasnt been out for long which is why there isnt an official one and there aren't many custom roms for it... please check the phone model before posting

Yes but we've got a unofficial CM9 so the developing of an official one would be easier.
