[jdlfg]

Recently I began to put some kernels out there that I had compiled using Bekits OMAPS source. As I began to get the hang of compiling and after a million questions to P3 and Bekit and others, I built a kernel I felt  could be confident I could share with others.I configured my kernel a little different than the conventional kernel and like the results as well as the majority of those who have tested. I have since built a variety of configurations and wireless and wired tether are enabled. I look forward to sharing them with you and hope to learn from any positive feedback that you can share. Update  6/7/2010 We have successfully built a couple kernels for froyo v.32 and as promised your batch of standard voltage kernels. Plus a look at the source. Posting at 5:00 pm est.

Well here we are running a bit late but here. I want to say thank you again for all the feedback and support with this. It shows once again that the community can be something positive and look forward to any progress we can make.
As the 2.2 Froyo leak was released I can honestly say that I felt we were behind the 8ball and needed to get up to speed.Thanks to Mr.P3,those who wish may enjoy froyo also his modifications of the wireless module allow us to be able to use the wifi in the .32 version kernel. After probably 1000 questions to him and another 50 to Mr.Bekit I was able to compile some .32 kernels of my own. Thanks to these guys we can feel we are back up to speed.

I can truly say these kernels are great.  JDLFG has managed to get the min voltage on all his kernels to be set at 400, but yet still pull same power as default 250 min.  I know how much work JDLFG put into these things and am very proud of him.

These kernels are all super cool in temp ratings when compared to others I have played with, and super snappy with the 400 min.  If you have been looking to try some new kernels these come highly reccomended.

P.S.  JDLFG arrrgggghhhh I'm not irish again am I.

While trying to decide which one I want to use, can someone clarify the difference between the kernels? Specifically, I'm curious about the slots.

Does that have to do with how many processes are kept in memory? If so, what are the pros and cons of a lower number of slots vs. a higher number of slots?

Each slot is a CPU speed, a 5 slot 1Ghz kernel may have a 250, 400, 550, 800, and 1000 slot. Most of them start at 250, I do believe these start at 400 as their first slot though.

do any of your kernels have a 900mhz slot? using your 1000mhz now and having some major battery issues, not sure it's kernel related, but wanted to try something that I could set at 900 to see if any difference...

Stingray ,give the 800 a shot see if that helps. If you give me what rom your on also the apps your running we may get a better idea of which is best for you. Give it a shot and i will wait to hear back from you

thanks jd!  I downloaded your 1100 thinking it would have a 900 slot.  Would you suggest downloading the 800 or just setting the 1000 or 1100 at 800mhz in SetCPu....is there a real difference in doing that?

I don't really think the kernel is solely to blame for the battery issues...I'm on CM 5.0.7.1 and it has been pretty squirrely this week....went from bekit to P3 1000mhz (which is what I usually run) to yours...I've probably loaded up more apps right now than what I normally have, so I may need to dump a few...running a Score sports widget that may be the culprit...

I'm trying to get my Droid running smooth this weekend as I'm leaving for vacation in Jamaica next week and can't afford to have the thing freaking out on me while away from my PC for a week....

Forget what I said, just install the zip file through recovery, don't unzip it first.

Echo...go into recovery (Clockwork) and install zip from sd card...like you're loading a ROM (just don't wipe anything)

I'm new but I wanted to let you know that the 1300 locked me up as soon as I went into SetCPU to change the speed.  

The 1200 seems to be working fine and is stable thus far.

Do you or would you like me to send you any data to help troubleshoot the kernel?

To be honest the 1300 is out there for anyone who can use it. It is not for everyones phone. If youd like pastebin your info and send me the link via pm. The 1200 I believe will do whats its supposed to for you.
