Hi,

I have a Samsung Vibrant running CM 10 and I want to update it to CM 10.1. I was wondering if I need to go into recovery to do it (I hate going into recovery) or is it possible to do it from CM updater?

I am using a Samsung Vibrant

You need to go into recovery, because you have to flash the newer CM10.1/Android4.2 gapps, otherwise you will get constant force closes and your google apps won't work.
