This would be an awesome feature. The huge amount of storage and the speed should make it a good candidate. Please point out international carriers as I am not aware of them all!

EDIT: crap guys I totally f-ed up the poll...sorry

I would think that developing a ROM for a tablet, one without 3G, would be far easier. You don't have to worry about interfacing with the carrier's network at all.

Interested, definitely, would want a CM port before I dropped money on a Galaxy Tab given Samsung's lack of support for their past products. I'm also interested in CM for the new 7 and 10in Archos tablets. They've got decent hardware specs, but I don't like be utterly dependent on one small company for updates and fixes.

Yeah I totally see where you're coming from. Don't you think the radio would be the same as the Vibrant though? I have no idea I'm just speculating. The only potential problem I can think of is the resolution maybe...? Idk. Thanks for your input.

I was originally looking @ picking up the VZW Tab along w/ Droid2 Global, but the fact the CDMA Tab's(both sprint and vzw) are being reported as only having 2GB of internal storage, I'm thinking of going to TMo(from ATT) as I currently have a Tmo N1 available to me, so just pick up a Tab for Tmo, but I do like the black back of the vzw model, and gf wants to stay on VZW.

The T-Mo one has a black back too. And yeah I heard about only having 2 gigs that's pretty ***. I have a T-Mo N1 and (soon to be) Galaxy Tab also.

EDIT: Haha didn't know the swear filter would block that.

I think the best way to get a port for our tabs is to start a donation fund to get a tab for a dev ...probably whoever maintains the galaxy s rom....I'd love to see cm on my tab! Not to mention the working phone.apk that would come with the port! If I knew a Dev that was interested I'd slap down $100.

There's one problem with the phone part though...carriers won't be offering plans, so every minute would count as overage and they'd probably shut you down even before you could blink. But the fund-yes! We need two devs though; one for CDMA and one for GSM (which is only T-Mo, for now)

Source is out already?? And yeah the T-Mobile version will be at my front door soon enough. And there are a lot of devs working on the Galaxy S series...but cut that in half (CDMA/GSM) and then get some to split their time between this and that andd there might not be so many devs anymore...

Got my T-mobile Galaxy Tab over the weekend.  Must say I'm loving it right now, but would be tons better if we could get Cyanogenmod working on this thing.

Yeah agreed but ya know mine (praying) will be here two frikken weeks after it's been ordered! This is such a hassle...but um like all apps working normally? And have you noticed any missing from the market?

Haven't noticed any apps missing. And once you get spare parts apk from the market and uncheck compatability and reboot,99% of the apps scale properly. Also,if the ability to connect the tab to an ad-hoc wifi signal was an issue,I used a very simple hack to get this working...I posted it at droidforums in the tab section if anyone's interested. All and all I'm really impressed with the tab.

Can't wait for CM6 to land in the Tab. I miss all the CM6-goodness on my Milestone. IF there was a build, i could test it. Willing Volunteer waves!
