As title, does anybody know where Android Market is? I can't find it on my 6.1 RC, is it the problem of me or the firmware? Thanks~~

I have the same problem and I have flashed apps :<
Details:
I had Cyanogenmod 4.1 for almost a year, worked fine.
Last week upgraded to 6.1 RC1 DS for my HTC Dream (Rogers), including radio, kernel, and google apps. Most things work great, but no Market app.
Tried again, just in case: Using recovery RA-dream-v1.7.0R, option "Flash Zip from sdcard", updated to package "gapps-mdpi-tiny-20101020-signed.zip".
Both the "Gallery" and "Market" shortcuts I had on desktop are nonfunctional after update to Cyanogenmod 6.1. However, Gallery shows as an icon in the ADW/drawer app listing, and works fine from there. Market does not appear in the ADW/drawer app listing, and I don't know how to find/start it (if installed/included). Possibly the issue is simply lack of 'pointer'/'shortcut'?
Other apps (gmail, maps, etc) work just fine from both my existing desktop shortcuts, and the ADW/drawer.

Updates used:
bc-6.1.0-RC1-ebi1-signed.zip

gapps-mdpi-tiny-20101020-signed.zip
recovery-RA-dream-v1.7.0R.img
radio-3.22.26.17_dream.img
I also tried (in my bumbling/newbie way:) to install using adb; extracted file from gapps-mdpi-tiny-20101020-signed.zip, and ran "adb install Vending.apk":
981 KB/s (628173 bytes in 0.625s) pkg: /data/local/tmp/Vending.apk Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE]

Another option would be to use Firerat's custom mtd patches to increase the size of your system partition to at least 90MB.

Whoaaa nelly
Thanks for all the tips; I've tried installing SuperTiny using AmonRA; phone would not leave the "Rogers" logo after booting. I wasn't able to go back to recovery somehow (?). Fastbooted the recovery back on, then restored previous nandroid, breathed a sigh of relief
Through adb-shell (I don't have terminal either, I've now noticed, in addition to market, and yes, you're right, YouTube), I've checked it out and /system had 6MB of space. (after my fingers kept typing "df -g" and "du -g" instead of -h
. Done some cleanup (after googling how to remount fs in rw etc) and now it has 10MB of space - shurely that's enough for Market alone?
tried pushing the Vending.apk through adb, still the same:
D:\Android\android-sdk_r04-windows\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb install Vending.apk
957 KB/s (628173 bytes in 0.640s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/Vending.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE]
I know I'm definitely in the "little knowledge is dangerous thing" area; I've posted the versions of everything I thought might be relevant. Any tips are of course, hugely appreciated

I have no idea what you are doing wrong
just flash tiny or supertiny gapps
if you want to complicate things
adb remount
adb shell
rm /system/app/Vending.apk
pm uninstall $(awk -F\" '/Vending.apk/ {print $2' /data/system/packages.xml)
then do your adb install
( you could replace $(awk -F\" '/Vending.apk/ {print $2' /data/system/packages.xml)
with
com.android.vending
just thought I would show you an easy way to get an Apk's Andriod name
but as I said, no idea why you are screwing it up as well as you have, you are over thinking it

Hey,
In case someone asked you already: Did you wipe before upgrading? That message with "incompatibility" looks a bit like there is some wrong information floating around on your system.
