Can you make a flashable Kernel (Just the Kernel) through recovery, based on 2.6.35.7 (CM6)?  I already have have your
20101031 kernel and based off linux 2.6.34.7.

Thanks in advance and I appreciate all you've done

NOTE: This is for my wife's phone (32B Sapphire)

I need this also for the latest nightlies.

Probably not if you are using the same gapps package (in theory the rom will back up the gapps.. in practice I recommend reflashing them)

roger that and thanks for all your effort

Sorry, I Still dont get it.

Said that needed a 1.33.0013 or 1.33.0013d HBoot, only for Dreams, Magic can also work with "To Start you will need a fastboot enabled SPL such as 1.33.2003 or 1.33.2005 or 1.33.2010 or 1.42.200" So, I already have the 2005 with S-OFF status.

The question is? Can I use this HBoot? Maybe have to spoof it (I dont know how to do this)? I understand that, still have to do the system erase and flash the new radio through the fastboot connection.

Thanks and regards.

ezterry, good work!
Dind't try this, but plan to do in near future when have 2-3 hours of free time.

Can you say, what will be in future? I mean when it comes cyanogenmod 6.1 final, then 6.2, 6.3 and so on..
Will you or someone create new modifications, so we can use both new "+15mb" hack with new versions of cyanogenmod?
Or maybe this modifications will be a part of cyanogenmod?

Yes, I want to ask the new radio + spl will be included as modifications in subsequent versions of CM ? Is there ever such an opportunity?

You have to START with one of the fastboot-enabled SPLs listed, because the new radio and hboot aren't flashable zips; you have to "fastboot flash" the files in order to load them. You DO have to change SPL in order to use the new kernel. Spoofing almost certainly won't work (ezterry or others with a more technical hold on things can verify).

I followed the steps both in the linked article on XDA (to download and install the 1.33.0013d hboot and the new radio) and on the OP in this thread (to install the kernel port), and am up and running without any issues. Note: I neither reinstalled GApps nor did a full wipe, but had I encountered problems, I would have done so as troubleshooting steps.

CONFIRMED AWESOME!! SPEED IS THERE WITH THE MEMORY!

Successfully flashed both my CM MT3G's from 1.13.0006 and 2.22.19.26i to the ones listed.  I flashed engineering 2010 on one and 2005 on the other prior to flashing 1.33.0013d (to help everyone I could) and both worked fine. Followed the guidelines and had a few twists but I'm still noob and its expected.  The only downfall is having to revert to either 2005 or 2010 to be able to flash the next CM6 and then reflash 13d. :/  We need an s-off version.....again noob and maybe I dont know what Im talking about.  If anyone needs any help its davisodad on the g mail and it hits this new smoking fast phone!  THANKS SO MUCH TERRY!

Flashing a new spl isn't required when updating cm. check ezterry's xda thread, firerats spoofspl will patch your recovery image (amon ra only I think) to fool the assert check.

I don't need SWAP more.
Thanks!

I had 6.1-RC1 installed previously. Did exactly what the XDA post said to do. Worked flawlessly with fastboot and the erase commands. Went into recovery, flashed the roms and bam! installed. worked great. Using G1 (Dream)

Ok, I have been reading through all sorts of posts trying to figure out how to flash the new radio and Rom port but somehow I can't seem to manage.
I have a Magic 32B right now with CM 6.1 RC1 running on it. I have the 2.22.18.26I Radio and Hboot 1.33.0004. I have RA_Recovery 1.7.0. running on it and I downloaded the radio and the hboot image.
Whenever I try to flash using hboot I get a "FAILED (remote:signature failed)" Message. If I go through ADB Shell and try to flash the radio it says it can't find the Radio Partition.

Can someone please clarify what I have to do next?

Thank you very much.

I recommend you flash as per my post with fastboot.. you just need to do something easy first :)

Download update.Engineering-SPL-HBOOT-1.33.2009-signed.zip md5: 6FE91DDD2AC591F8EE838CEA3E5F84B0

Install from recovery.. once it flashes reboot (you will return to recovery)
Just in case delete the 'update.Engineering-SPL-HBOOT-1.33.2009-signed.zip' file from your SD Card (flashing SPLs by accident is not a good idea)

Then you can install with the fastboot instructions on this thread to install the radio+spl.  Once the radio+SPL are installed you can flash the patched CM6.1-rc1 update.zip on the op post (there is a link back here in the other thread if you get lost)

Note this is what I consider the safest way not the only way.
