Thanks ezterry, this has made such a difference to my ex-vodafone uk Magic 32B that I don't think I'll be doing anything at all to it until, and if, you do the same with RC2. Just great!

I just wanted to say i got it working from the XDA thread and used the CM6.1 from here and it's working great! just one question, is anyone else getting worse battery life after the upgrade. I loose about 4-6 hours of use coming from non-modified CM6.1 RC1.

EzTerry, Thank you!
I got everything to work very quickly and it works beautifully now.
The extra ram helps insanely, I can use my device again.
Thanks so much!

Um .. the kerenel in the OP really is the same kernel.. I think the problem is you have been using the phone more "testing" the upgrade ;)
[that or forgot the restart after unplugging USB]

Just wanted to report, the good experience... Had a MT3G with SPL .0006, followed the procedure in XDA and in here and everything went as smooth as can be. Now my device is running as fast as a bullet. Have paired it with Stevo's swap script to help RAM a little.

Thanks for the hard work to all involved, EZTerry, Ra, Stevo and, of course, Cyanogen...

I'm using firerat's a2sdext script and with the extra ram and storage space my g1 is still flying.  The battery time does seem a lil short but like thepost above says its prob cuz I'm stuck testing everything out.

Well I even figured out ADB/Fasboot + commands after following your steps (no flashables so I had no choice to make myself set it up and work it out haha).
Booting now, hopefully some noticable speed/performance!
Thanks in advance!

Edit: I just came a little seeing the performance. Hands down for you sir!

Alright a little help would be awesome.

I have 1.33.0013 hboot and 27.08 radio on my mt3g and this rom is awesome. I read though that since i am not running the 0013d I should be able to flash normal cm builds from the built bot. So, I try to flash from recovery and it installs fine but I can never get past the first boot screen, it just restarts.

Any ideas or did get the wrong idea?

Ezterry.  Your instructions on page 1 of this thread are great.  Thank you very much.  I used your instructions and my G1 works wonderfully.  I would, however, like to know if it is possible to repeat the steps again on my phone.  I have a friend who would like to flash his G1 but I wanted to show him the steps using my G1 so he would have an idea what to expect.  So, will it hurt anything (I dont care about data) to repeat your process on my G1 again?

Ask in the nighties thread about the nighties There is a kernel port you need in there.

Flashed the hboot and radio from signed packages from another thread with recovery, everything went well except that I learnt that hboot and radio had to be flashed separately. Flash hboot, reboot, flash radio, reboot, flash CM6.1-2708port. And volia! 15MB more RAM!
