I saw the option in the cyanogen settings where instead of stopping music when there is a notification, it would just lower the music volume and play the notification at the same time. I have played with all the settings yet i cant get it to work. i am using the stock music app, and playing music over BT. can anyone explain how this works, or if there is any tutorial on the meaning of the options?
Thanks

Trying to do the same thing with Pandora. I would rather the music attenuate than mute entirely when playing via Bluetooth or through the headset jack. What did you figure out?

I swear If ICS doesn't fix this problem... and I mean FIX this problem, Google isn't getting another CENT of my money! not a penny! When I upgrade to ICS i don't even want to think about messing around with settings, it better just work properly or im gone to windows or God forbids iphone *cringe*

WTH are you talking about blackicicle?
You think the iPhone doesn't have settings? You will still need to configure things on any smartphone, at least with 3rd party apps / software. Sure, if you own all first party Apple products, it will have a default config that will work for most people. Then again, Android default settings work for most people as well.

You're not serious right? Don't make me laugh.... This is not a feature its a BUG! Google should fix it. It doesn't work. Coming from blackberry and using my friends iphone I know that it just works, when you get a text it shouldn't pause the music.... sometimes i get more then 20 message a minute, lets see you listen to a song that stops over 20 times within a minute with NO way of changing it. I think you need to read up on the thread or the problem before adding your two cents.

I hate to be the guy to resurrect an old, senseless conversation, but what you're saying makes no sense. You're calling a feature request a bug. A bug is not something that you claim doesn't operate how you would like it. A bug is a fault in the code causing it not to operate as the developer intended. Although I agree that it is not very appealing and they should definitely change it to attenuate the priority audio, it is not a flaw.
If you're unhappy with having to enable a setting to make the operating system perform as you expect then you're not going to be very happy with any software, let alone an iPhone. Perhaps the iPhone has this particular feature out of the box, but good development is not about how a device works out of the box. It's how the device can be configured to each persons particular inclination. Without options and settings you get what you're stuck with and you have no ability to change it. Complaining about having to change settings to your liking is foolish and will not be taken seriously by any developer. You should express gratitude to the Cyanogenmod developers for giving you the extra settings. You should be thanking Google for leaving their operating system open for anybody (including yourself) to alter and mold into whatever they please.
If you want to request that the Google/Android development teams make this feature available in the default operating system, then I would suggest you do it productively. Otherwise, let everyone else make decisions for you and accept the outcome.
